Are you planning to vote for politics as usual? The [Rev. Jeremiah] Wright controversy is being used as a distraction to interrupt Barack Obama’s campaign efforts. He should not have to keep defending himself because of what Rev. Wright said. We have seen eight years of distractions that have been used to keep our minds off things that we should have been paying attention to. Look where we are now!
Poverty, loss of homes, loss of jobs, high food and gas prices, tainted medications and lack of health insurance affects all of us regardless of the color of our skin or the language we speak. We are to love our neighbors as ourselves.
Our neighbors are not just the people who live next door to us. I care about the parents who can’t feed their children, the people who make minimum wages who work to go to work. I care about the elderly who have to choose between medicine and food. I care about students who can’t afford to go to college.
America must take care of America first! The Bible tells us that we must take care of home first, otherwise we are worse than an infidel. The media has played the devil’s advocate in this election, however I pray that the majority of Americans will not let them determine their vote. When you go to the polls, please cast your vote for the good of the country, not for spite because we cannot afford spite votes.
