A longtime Washington County, Tennessee, detention officer is now spending time in the jail he used to protect. Washington County investigators arrested jailer Timothy Crain Thursday morning and charged him with eight felony counts of official misconduct.
Crain is accused of using an inmate's credit card, at that inmate's request, to buy and sneak tobacco into the jail. In return, investigators say the inmate paid Crain $100. Chief Deputy Pat Littleton says it had been going on since December. Crain first started working with the Washington County Sheriff's Office back in 2001.
