You have depicted U.S. Rep. David Davis in his first term as well as anyone I have spoken with this election season. It is this “far-right” mindset and the desire to stay in office at “all cost” that Davis has that will eventually destroy the Republican Party.
In fact, I feel a massacre of Republican candidates may occur this election and it will take years to rebuild. The rebuilding cannot occur with candidates exhibiting the current Republican mindset, like Davis.
Since we do not have a strong opposition party to put pressure on Davis, our best hope is Dr. Phil Roe. You should interview Roe and get a feel for where he stands. He is not only a good Republican, but a moderate one, who will give attention to all issues when they have merit and not because he has been paid to do so.
Roe represents what I believe is the new “mindset” of the Republican Party. Instead of yielding to the special interests by accepting payment for earmarks and other favors, Roe will represent the interests of his total constituency including those who do not happen to be Republican.
Roe believes in the sanctity of life for both the mother and child, taking care of our veterans who have sacrificed so much for us, medical care for everyone but not managed by the government, and the legislator’s obligation to work in a bipartisan manner when the interest of his constituency, and the nation’s as a whole, is at stake.

I would guess the health care industry will be trying to put a lot of doctors and medical people in office to stop national health care.
Which Hospital and Hmo’s are supporting ROE?
