Abingdon Hospital Issues Urgent Plea for Blood Donations

The Johnston Memorial Hospital Blood Bank will hold an emergency blood drive Friday June 27 in Abingdon.
Medical officials will be on hand 11:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the Barter Theater Stage II on Main Street.
Organizers say the slow season of giving coupled with the approaching Independence Holiday Week has caused a need for additional blood donations.
The bank issued an emergency appeal O POS, O NEG, A NEG blood types.
