A 16-year-old student is dead and two other Sullivan South High School students are recovering today after a morning accident threw one of them from the car.
The Sullivan County Sheriff’s Department tells us the accident happened around 7 a.m. on the 600-block of Summerville Road.

Investigators say the driver lost control of the car and hit a power pole, the car then flipped over and one of the students was thrown from the car.
The Sheriff’s Office confirmed this afternoon that a 16-year-old boy has died, but no names have been released at this time.

At last check,  the two other students were listed in stable condition. The investigation into the accident is ongoing.

We’ll have more on this story tonight beginning at 5.

Not too long ago a David Crockett Senior was killed in a car crash. This is always sad news to hear that someone so young has lost their life. My prayers are with the family and friends of this young boy and his friends.
