Two Accidents: Fatal Crash and Pedestrian Struck

The Tennessee Highway Patrol is investigating a single vehicle accident that claimed the life of a Jonesborough woman.
Forty-four year old Donna Hicks crashed Sunday just after midnight on Dry Creek Road in Washington County.
In an unrelated case, a Jonesborough man is scheduled to appear in court after police say he struck a person with his car.
It happened Sunday afternoon at 1010 West Montgomery Avenue.
Officials say Adam Jonathan Blazer was driving down the street with his headlights off. That’s when he allegedly stopped the car, spun his tires, and then sped up and careening into a yard striking the victim.
Police arrested the 23-year-old on a felony aggravated assault charge. He is being held at the Washington County Detention Center $20,000 bond.
He’ll make his court appearance Monday afternoon at 1:30.
