Tri-Cities Mother Charged With Child Abuse

Jonesborough Police arrested Aubrey Story and charged her with aggravated child abuse.

Police found Story and her child at their Miller Drive home on November 6.  Police said Story told emergency crews she gave her 7-month old son prescription drugs.

Story is behind bars at the Washington County, Tennessee Detention Center.  Her bond:  $50,000.

Her son is being cared for by family members.

If convicted of the Class A Felony, Story faces 15 to 60 years behind bars.

I agree with you Sara. I don’t understand this stuff myself. I have two kids of my own and I’d do anything to keep them safe. I can’t imagine doing something to bring them harm. This woman may have had the right to take her own life but she had NO rights to take this childs life or to even try.
I agree with you that this child had no way to prrotect itself and being the Mother: it should have been her place to protect that child, not hurt it. What could possibly bring a Mother to do something like this ? I hope I never know !

this makes me FURIOUS that someone would do this to a baby who can not even defend their self… They did not get asked to be brought into this evil world…I don’t understand why people have babies if they are not going to take care of them… Get fixed or use protection its really easy to do…
