A teenager was stabbed to death at a post-prom party in Boone, N.C. over the weekend.
Benjamin Seth Picket, 19, and several juveniles were at a house in the 300 block of Navajo Trail. Picket died from stab wounds to his neck and shoulder, Watauga County Sheriffs said.
Deputies arrested 23-year-old Samuel Maurice King and charged him with murder. He’s being held without bond at the Watauga County Jail. A court date for King has been set for June 6.
Two other men were also arrested. 23 year-old Ian Edward Ellis and 18 year-old Colin Stephen Ellis are charged with contributing to the delinquency of a juvenile.
An investigation of the residence also revealed alcohol and narcotics violations. Those are still under investigation by the Watauga County Special Operations Unit.
