Here’s a statement to News Channel 11 from Amy Allen, TBI, about Heather Bull:  “She has been safely recovered and is with authorities at this time.”

According to the TBI, Michael Shaver turned himself in to authorities in Putnam County, Tennessee, after he learned that an Amber Alert had been issued for Heather Bull.  No information was released about Heather Bull’s condition.  News Channel 11 is working on an update.

Dispatchers say Michael Todd Shaver is driving a tuck with a Tennessee license plate number 765GMB.

The following amber alert was issued by the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation at 6:28 a.m. --

A MIDDLE AND EAST TENNESSEE REGIONAL AMBER ALERT HAS BEEN ISSUED FOR THE OVERTON COUNTY SHERIFF’S DEPARTMENT FOR 12 YEAR-OLD HEATHER BULL.

HEATHER WAS TAKEN BY HER STEP-FATHER MICHAEL TODD SHAVER ON JULY 20, 2008. 

HEATHER WAS LAST SEEN WEARING A DARK BLUE TOP, WHITE K SWISS TENNIS SHOES AND DARK BLUE JEANS.  HEATHER IS A WHITE FEMALE.  SHE IS 5’3 TALL AND WEIGHS 103 LBS. HEATHER HAS BLONDE HAIR AND BLUE EYES. SHE MAY ALSO BE WEARING A REDSKINS T-SHIRT. 

MICHAEL TODD SHAVER IS A 43 YEAR-OLD WHITE MALE.  HE IS 6’5” TALL AND WEIGHS 240 LBS. SHAVER WAS LAST SEEN WEARING BLUE JEANS, A BLACK SHIRT AND COWBOY BOOTS. HE HAS BROWN HAIR AND BLUE EYES. 

SHAVER HAS A LENGTHY CRIMINAL HISTORY AND IS WANTED FOR CUSTODIAL INTERFERENCE AND HAS AN ORDER OF PROTECTION AGAINST HIM FOR HEATHER AND HER MOTHER.  THEY WERE LAST SEEN DRIVING A 2000 GOLD CHEVY PICK UP.
