A Johnson City Government Housing building will be receiving new mattresses today, following a bed bug problem in many tenants’ rooms.
Friends of the John Sevier Center have taken donations and will deliver between 40 and 50 new mattresses to the John Sevier Apartment Complex on Roan Steet in Johnson City around 10 a.m.
The John Sevier Apartment Complex is home to help 137 tenants, including seniors and people with disabilities.
59 people had to get rid of their mattresses because of the bed bug problem, which has been an ongoing problem for the complex for about a year and a half.

I certainly hope that they are encassing the new bedding with bed bug encasements…otherwise, they’ll soon be throwing the new ones out, too.
