Local Plant Announces More Layoffs

Three people lost their jobs, and today’s move is the most recent in a series of layoffs at Jonesborough’s Bush Hog Plant.
It laid off several dozen employees last month.
Andrew Huddleston, the Human Resources Manager at the Bush Hog Plant in Jonesborough, told your Tri-Cities News Source the cuts are reflective of a reduction in demand for Bush Hog products.
In all, Huddleston said the people who have been cut make up less than 25 percent of the Bush Hog workforce, which now stands at 220 people.
Huddleston added the company hopes to offer all of the laid employees their jobs back as soon as the demand picks up again.
