A Kingsport man is facing charges, after allegedly trying to kidnap a Waffle House employee.
According to Kingsport Police, the incident happened around 5:20 am Saturday at the Waffle House on West Stone Drive.
The female employee told police that a man who was parked next to her car, attempted to force her into his vehicle.
During the attack, Patrolman Martin Taylor arrived and saw what was happening. He chased the suspect, Ronald L. Hudson, and captured him a short distance away. Hudson was charged with Criminal Attempt- Aggravated Kidnapping. He is being held in the Hawkins County Jail until his arraignment.
Patrolman Taylor was injured during the chase; police say charges for that part of the incident are still pending.
