The Southeast gas shortage has prompted a community college in Western North Carolina to cancel classes the rest of the week.
A large percentage of Asheville-Buncombe Technical Community College’s 25,000 students aren’t showing up for class.
A spokeswoman for the college says even professors are calling to say they’re stuck at home.
Officials say they’ll decide Sunday when to re-open.
