UPDATE AT 11:50 a.m.: Dyno Noble officials say the plant will re-open tomorrow. The building that caught fire was a storage facility. No word yet what caused the fire. Employees were still waiting for utilities service to be restored.
UPDATE AT 8:44 a.m.: The roof of a metal building where the fire was burning has collapsed, and fire crews plan to let the fire burn itself out. According to Kathy Noe with Scott County 9-1-1, there’s no threat to the public. No information yet on what caused the fire.

A building is on fire at the Dyno Noble retail distribution facility in Duffield, Virginia, a Scott County,VA 9-1-1 spokeswoman said.
The fire was reported around 6:30 a.m. Tuesday. “So far, we haven’t heard about any injuries,“ said Kathy Noe, public information office for Scott County 9-1-1.
The plant is on U.S. Highway 23, about a mile away from the Duffield Industrial Park. The fire had not impeded travel on U.S. Highway 23 so far.
Noe said a team of emergency service professionals was at the plant surveying the fire and determining what needed to be done to extinguish it.
