A Tri-Cities woman is recovering today after being mauled by two dogs.
According to the Washington County Virginia Sheriff’s Office, she’s the dogs’ owner.
It happened on Old Stage Road in Meadowview, Virginia. Sheriff Fred Newman said Pamela Sneed was mauled on her arms and left leg.
Emergency workers took her to Johnston Memorial Hospital for treatment.
Newman told News Channel 11, the dogs - a pit bull and boxer - were fighting when Sneed tried to intervene.
The dogs are in quarantine at an animal shelter in Abingdon.

Please up-date this story and let us know if one was exposed to rabies. Hopefully not! Sad way to learn not to try to break-up a dog fight with out a big stick.
