Since Friday, 17 fake bills have been handed over to investigators.
Officers told us most of the funny money comes in the form of 20’s, but they have spotted a couple 100 dollar bills and one 5 dollar bill.
Banks spotted most of the counterfeit cash when customers made deposits.
Greeneville investigators told us spotting counterfeit money is pretty easy because the feel, the ink, and the water marks differ from the real thing.
