Viking Hall To Host Show On Nov. 28-30
BRISTOL, Tenn. – Viking Hall’s Country Christmas Craft Show kicks off the day after Thanksgiving.
From Nov. 28-30, the show features a variety of vendors offering all kinds of handcrafted goodies.
“For those in search of tasty treats to feed their holiday spirit,” said the event’s organizer, Daisy Carroll, “many different types of food will be available during the event. For starters, freshly made kettle corn will be prepared just outside the entrance to Viking Hall.”
Other food items available include homemade fudge, candies, hot sauces and gourmet grape juice.
Inside, vendors are selling primitive home décor, snowmen, jewelry and toys, Carroll said.
“The budding artist in the family will be excited to find a paint-your-own ceramic mug booth inside,” Carroll said. “Paint a mug for your own hot chocolate or give away as a gift for Christmas.”
A kids’ area is also on tap, with craft booths, face painting and a special babysitting service for shoppers, Carroll said.
“Parents will be able to leave their child with a member of a local youth group,” Carroll said, “and let your child color or craft away while you get to shop the many booths.”
On Nov. 29 from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m., authors of local history, ghost and folklore books are signing copies of their works.
As well, food donations are being accepted for the Second Harvest Food Bank.
“The Country Christmas Craft Show is one of the longest-running traditions in the Tri-Cities,” said Darlene Cole, the venue manager at Viking Hall. “It’s a great combination of vendors and food and speciality items. And, what’s really fun is that you get to meet many of the people who actually made the items that will make great gifts for Christmas.”
