A Johnson City man is being held on very serious charges today after the alleged violent rape of a woman early this morning.
Johnson City Police arrested 33-year-old Jonathan K. Hulse and charged him with aggravated rape, especially aggravated kidnapping, and theft of a vehicle.
Officers met with the victim at a local hospital where she was treated for several lacerations and injuries. Investigators say the victim told them she was held against her will in Hulse’s home on West Walnut Street in Johnson City, and then forcibly raped at knife point.
Police say Hulse then stole the woman’s car, but was arrested a short time later.
He’s being held on a $110,000 and will appear in court next week.
