Boone’s Creek Christian Church Participates In The Operation Christmas Child Program

Santa Claus was busy handing toys out to girls and boys throughout Appalachia on Saturday during his annual trip on the Santa Train. Also on Saturday, other people were packing toys and other supplies for children all around the world. Operation Christmas child packs shoe boxes with toys, some necessities and other items for needy children over the world.
The program is organized by the Franklin Graham Ministry based out of Boone, North Carolina. Volunteers with the Boone’s Creek Christian Church in Washington County, Tennessee is one of the eight collection spots in the tri-cities area. The group has already collected 5,000 boxes and expect to have a few thousand more.
The Boones Creek Christian Church and other locations around the tri-cities will continue collecting the shoe boxes from noon until 5pm on Monday.
