AMC's 'TURN' issues open call for extra

The AMC television series "TURN: Washington’s Spies" begins filming in the Central Virginia/Richmond area at the end of September and continues through February 2015.

Review: 'Driving Miss Daisy' at Barter is 'quietly wonderful'

The movie was, I am told, pretty okay. The Barter Mainstage Production four years ago was good, but this season’s production of “Driving Miss Daisy” at Barter’s Stage II is quietly wonderful. Featuring Mary Lucy Bivins and Jasper McGruder, who did Barter’s original take, the warm intimacy of Stage II just seems to bring out the best in actors and script. Catch the show through Nov. 15.
