These were some of the cases heard on June 5.
Donald Wayne Bowling of Rocky Gap was convicted of an April 7 marijuana possession charge. Bowling was fined $100 plus $156 court costs and given a six-month driver’s license suspension. A misdemeanor assault charge taken out by Patrick Perkins against Bowling was dropped by the commonwealth.
An April 29, 2012, grand larceny charge against Charlie Owen Stiltner of Christiansburg was certified to a grand jury for consideration. A trespassing charge was dropped.
This was one of the cases heard on May 22.
A Dec. 5, 2012, driving after being declared an habitual offender charge against David Troy Arnold of Bastian was certified to a grand jury. Additional charges of making a false police report and reckless driving were dropped.
These were two of the cases heard on July 8.
Eric Sean Repass of Speedwell was convicted of two 2012 grand larceny charges related to the theft of auto parts. Repass was sentenced to serve one year and 10 months in jail. He’ll be on probation for five years after his release.
Convicted of violating his probation, Joseph Wayne Wright of Dublin was sentenced to serve two years behind bars. He’ll be on indefinite probation after his release.
These were two of the cases heard on June 24.
Tracy Scott Nunn of Bland was convicted of an Aug. 10, 2012, grand larceny charge. Nunn was given a five-year sentence with four years suspended, assessed $840 in court costs and placed on probation for five years.
Michael Jason Salyer of Damascus was convicted of two Sept. 27, 2012, charges of public records forgery, driving on a suspended license, speeding (80 in a 70-mph zone) and identity theft. Salyer was given a suspended sentence, fined $110 plus $1,726 in court costs and placed on probation.
These were some of the cases heard on June 10.
Valorie L. Crigger of Wytheville was convicted of violating her probation. Crigger was sentenced to four years and four months with two years and four months suspended and assessed $703 in court costs.
Michael Udell Mallory Jr. of Bland was convicted of violating his probation. Mallory was sentenced to time served and assessed $681 in court costs. Mallory was also convicted of a May 12, 2012, grand larceny charge. He was sentenced to two years in jail with one year and nine months suspended. He was also assessed $765 in court costs and placed on probation for a year.
A Feb. 13, 2012, drug distribution charge against Crystal Gail Green of Bluefield, W.Va., was dropped.
Misty Nicole Lester of Bastian was convicted of Jan. 17, 2012, charges of grand larceny and manufacturing/etc. a controlled substance. Lester was sentenced to one month and five days in jail, assessed $2,050 in court costs, given a six-month driver’s license suspension, and placed on probation. An additional drug distribution charge against her was dropped.
