Former Virginia High star Justin Grimm turned in a strong pitching performance for the Texas Rangers in front of a national television audience.

The rookie right-hander allowed just one run and struck out two over three innings of relief in Texas’ 9-3 loss to the Oakland Athletics that was aired by ESPN. Grimm yielded four hits in his fifth career MLB outing.
