A fast moving storm system is expected to bring more snow to the region late today and overnight, according to the National Weather Service.

The precipitation will start as rain around 5 p.m. today and switch over to snow around midnight. As much as four inches of snow is possible, especially at higher elevations. The winter system comes on the heels of a major winter storm that brought nearly a foot of snow to parts of the Mountain Empire.
