KINGSPORT, Tenn. -- Second Harvest Food Bank of Northeast Tennessee received a $100,000 contribution from the Walmart Foundation that will be used to help pay for renovation of its new building.

“The move to the new facility was vital to Second Harvest’s mission to close the gap in unmet need for families and individuals who are food insecure,” said Rhonda Chafin, executive director of Second Harvest Food Bank of Northeast Tennessee, in a news release. “The Food Bank sincerely appreciates Walmart’s support of our building project.”
