BRISTOL, Tenn. -- A regional accreditation organization has approved King University’s plans to begin offering doctoral degrees beginning in 2014, according to information published by the school this week.

The Southern Association of Colleges and School Commission on Colleges voted at a recent Board of Trustees meeting to approve an application submitted by King that allows the school to operate as a Level V institution that university President Dr. Greg Jordan called a momentous achievement in the history of the school.
