Fire displaces Sullivan County family

A family of five is now homeless after a backyard blaze spread quickly through the grass and then under a mobile home, Avoca Volunteer Fire Department Chief David Taylor said Thursday.

Fire units from Avoca, Blountville Emergency Response, Bluff City and Sullivan County responded just after 2:30 p.m. to a home located at 3556 Island Rd. just outside the Bristol, Tenn. city limits
