BLOUNTVILLE, Tenn. — Northeast State Community College is quickly becoming a leader in workforce training.

On Tuesday, Gov. Bill Haslam announced that Northeast State received an $843,000 grant during a visit to the school’s campus near Tri-Cities Regional Airport . The money will be used to purchase equipment for training students in advanced technology — specifically for robotics, welding and mechanical design equipment.
