Russell Co. rejects heritage designation for The Crooked Road

Russell County supervisors are the most recent group to take a stance on The Crooked Road's potential National Heritage Area designation, after they voted this week against supporting the measure.

The supervisors turned down a resolution to support the designation and instead voted 4-3 to draft a resolution of non-support, said Rufus Hood, interim county administrator.
