BRISTOL, Va. — A $4,500 grant to Girls Inc. will fund a new garden and the nutrition awareness that will come from eating healthier foods.

On Friday, members of the Junior League of Bristol presented the check to officials of the community nonprofit agency, who in turn began preparing for the growing season ahead. Staff, volunteers and some girls began working to clean out a raised bed established last year.
