Step inside Open Door Tabernacle in Johnson City and you'll find Bishop Matthew Barber. The pastor holds many titles in the community, but Washington County Sheriff's Office Chaplain is no longer one of them.

"It was another death of relationships with not just the inmates themselves, but those that I've worked with on a daily basis," Barber said. "Not being there to offer and lend spiritual support."
