A New York City fire truck manned by rescuers who lost their lives Sept. 11, 2001, will be on display in Bristol next week during the Food City Race Night held in conjunction with the races at the Bristol Motor Speedway.

FDNY Rescue 5, preserved and exhibited by the firefighter-created Remembrance Rescue Project, also will lead the Ford Transporter Parade into the speedway on Aug. 23, the nonprofit organization announced Tuesday in a written statement. The truck will be on hand throughout the weekend.
