JOHNSON CITY, Tenn. — An unpaid car repair bill resulted in a Bristol woman’s arrest this week, according to city police.

On Wednesday, the Johnson City Police Department arrested Margaret Rose Luttrell, 37, of King College Road, Bristol, Tennessee, charging her with theft of property over $1,000.

The Meineke Muffler shop on West Market Street contacted police June 13 after they said a customer failed to pay her debt. According to police, witnesses said Luttrell ordered and received repairs on her car and attempted to pay with a check. The check was declined, witnesses said, and she is accused of leaving the business to get money, but not returning.

Luttrell was arrested at her residence and taken to the Washington County Detention Center on a $10,000 bond.
